SplitReal Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026. This policy explains how SplitReal (getsplitreal.com) handles your information during our free community beta. Contact: hello@getsplitreal.com.
Notice at collection (California residents)
When you join the beta waitlist, we collect the categories below for the purposes listed. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those allowed by law.
- Identifiers: first name and email address. Purpose: to add you to the waitlist and email you when matching opens.
- Location preference: the city you want to buy in. Purpose: to group members by city.
- Preferences: how many people you want to live with and your questionnaire answers (dealbreakers, lifestyle and house rule preferences). Purpose: to estimate compatibility with other members and plan matching.
- Consent record: the date and time you agreed to our Terms and this Privacy Policy, and which version. Purpose: to keep a record of your agreement.
Retention: we keep waitlist data until you ask us to delete it or 24 months after our last contact with you, whichever comes first.
How the calculator uses your numbers
To show an estimate, the calculator sends your income, savings and monthly debts, along with your city and how many people you want to buy with, to our server. The server uses these numbers only to compute the estimate and send it back to your browser. They are never stored, never written to logs and never sent to anyone else. They are not part of your waitlist signup: when you join the waitlist, only the information listed above is sent.
What we do not ask
We do not ask about, store or match on protected characteristics such as race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, familial status, disability, marital status, age, source of income or citizenship.
Who receives your information
Your waitlist submission goes to our server and is saved with our hosting and database provider, Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers runs the site and Cloudflare D1 stores the database), acting as our service provider. Cloudflare may process standard request data, such as IP address, to deliver and secure the site. Our own code does not log form contents. We use your IP address only briefly in memory to limit repeated signups, and we do not store it. Calculator numbers pass through our hosting provider only to compute your estimate and are not saved. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this page first.
Your rights
If you are a California resident, you may ask to know what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
To request deletion or access: email hello@getsplitreal.com with the subject "Privacy request" from the address you signed up with. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request with your written permission.
Children
SplitReal is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date.
